Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts athlete fighting for UFC. UFC at the flyweight division, is currently a Kyrgyzstani. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started in the form of a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003, and she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002 when she faced Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO, and then won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the fight. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded the UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi via the split decision.
